2017 Annual Meeting of the Home Owners
April 25, 2017

The Annual Meeting of the Home Owners of the Village at Sherando was held on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Bowman Public Library, located at 871 Tasker Rd.  Sufficient quorum was not met.  There were a few home owners in attendance and although there was no official meeting, The Board and Allen, from Coventry Group discussed some Spring projects that are being considered.  The Board will remain the same through 2017.

Parking in the Village at Sherando HOA

It has been an ongoing complaint from homeowners that the parking spaces are limited and many of the visitor spots are being taken up by tenants/residents that have more than two vehicles.  The Village at Sherando Deed of Dedication states in Article VIII, page 11, #5 that: “Ownership of each Lot shall entitle the Owner thereof to the use of not more than two (2) vehicular parking spaces which shall be as near and convenient to said Lot as reasonably possible…” This means that each unit/home has only two spaces allotted to them.   The Board realizes that there are homes that have several vehicles and asks that everyone be courteous and consider your neighbors when using the “Visitor” spots.  When the lots are repaved, relined and numbered, we may be able to address some of these issues but until then we have to live within the parameters of our Community and it’s guidelines.

Do remember that all vehicles in the HOA must have up to date Tags and Inspection Stickers; this policy has not changed.

Dues Increased for 2016
December 1, 2015

The Board of Directors voted this fall to increase the dues for the HOA by 2% (allowable by the Deed) in 2016.  The new dues amount will be $522/yr. Invoices will be sent out reflecting this change.  This increase is part of the total five-year plan to save enough money to repave all the roads of the HOA in approximately four years.  You may always use the payment plan options available through Coventry Group, if you need to stretch out your payments.   Call Coventry Group at 540-535-0816 to ask about a plan set up.

 
New Community Manager

Progress on 114Peridot Drainage Project
July 7, 2014

It is finished! The long-awaited drainage project has been finished by Judy Construction this week. So, from now on, there should not be any back up of water in the alley between Amethyst and Peridot.
